History

A station opened on the site as the Atlantic Park Hostel Halt in 1929, though later closed. In 1966, the station was built as Southampton Airport Halt before changing to Southampton Parkway (in 1986), with another name change in the 1990s to Southampton Airport Parkway.

Services

General

Facilities available include: a ticket office; toilets; coffee shop; waiting area; first class lounge; and car parking. The station was upgraded in 2010 with a new foot bridge with lifts to improve accessibility for disabled people costing £2m as part of a wider £7m investment in the airport. The lifts are in use throughout the service
