The average household size was 3.06 and the average family size was 3.40.
In the town the age distribution of the population shows 33.0% under the age of 18, 4.7% from 18 to 24, 38.5% from 25 to 44, 16.8% from 45 to 64, and 7.1% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 32 years. For every 100 females there were 108.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 100.0 males.
The median income for a household in the town was $50,250, and the median income for a family was $56,250. Males had a median income of $47,589 versus $37,250 for females. The per capita income

History
South Prairie was platted in 1888 by Frank Bisson. It was named because of its location, south of Connell's and Porter's prairies. South Prairie was officially incorporated on February 17, 1909.Geography
