and Mbeya United, previously known as . It currently holds 10,000 people. It was named Sokoine Stadium after the death of the Prime Minister of Tanzanian Republic in 1984, but was previously named the Mapinduzi Stadium.
On 18th August 2011 the stadium was closed for referbishment works ahead of the Tanzanian First Division league kicking off. The main reason for the maintanance was to make the pitch smoother to play on.
