1241 – Skalbmierz devastated by Tatars

1242 – Konrad of Mazovia called a rally in Skalbmierz, where he imprisoned representatives of Little Poland

1309 – First mention of school in Skalbmierz

1342, 20 February –Skalbmierz gains location document on the basis of German law from Polish king Kazimierz Wielki

1400 – Stanisław of Skalbmierz became first vice-chancellor of Cracow Academy (Akademia Krakowska)

1427 – Location of Skalbmierz confirmed by king Władysław Jagiełło

1483, 24 May – Cracow bishop Jan Rzeszowski confirmed location of Skalbmierz

1578 – King Stefan Batory confirmed the right of Cracow curates to appoint Skalbmierz president canons of the Chapter

1618 – Great fire of city

1652–1653 – The plague in city

1655–1657 – Total destruction of Skalbmierz by Swedes, Hungarians and Cossacks
