Plot

Sissi is slowly adapting to life as empress of Austria but finds it hard to live with her mother-in-law. The Archduchess Sophie adheres to the old rules and constantly interferes with how the emperor rules the empire and their family life. A scandal breaks out when Sissi leaves the Emperor and returns to Bavaria after her first-born daughter
