Sir Brian Stapylton, 2nd Baronet (c. 1657 – 23 November 1727), of Myton in Yorkshire

He was the eldest son of Sir Henry Stapylton
, who had been a Member of Parliament during the Commonwealth and who was created a baronet shortly after the Restoration
in 1660; Sir Bryan succeeded to the baronetcy following his father's death on 26 March 1679.
He entered Parliament in 1679 as member for Aldborough
, and subsequently also represented the neighbouring constituency of Boroughbridge
, which had been his father's seat.
He married Anne Kaye, daughter of Sir John Kaye of Woodsome, and they had three children:
