. At the end of his first season Ramsden played 26 times in both league and cup for Grimsby. During the 2005-2006 season several new signings meant Ramsden very rarely featured and he was eventually offloaded in January 2005.

 from Grimsby Town in January 2006. He left Grimsby because of lack of appearances at a time when the club were flying high. Subsequent departures and retirements of defenders left many Grimsby fans regretting his hasty decision to depart, and to rub salt into the wounds, he has developed a habit of scoring for Rochdale against his former club.

Bradford City

 first signing of the summer. Ramsden started off well for the Bantams in his first season making 32 appearances and scoring 2 goals in his first season. He was named as the club captain at the start of the 2010-11 campaign but has played just 2 games since the season started due to a series of injuries.
