under Ahmad Shah Durrani's rule. He founded the Shujabad city in 1750 and built the frotifaction wall between 1767 and 1772. He also built the historic "SHAHI MASJID" which was rebuilt in 2010. He died in 1775 Ad ans was buried outside the city in a locality known as Basti Khairpur. Old city of Shuajabad was protected and made secured against the invaders with the huge and high wall all around the city with 4 Gates which were named RAILWAY GATE, MULTANI GATE, CHOTAQA GATE & RASHEED SHAH GATE by the Nawab Shuja Khan. Though the condition of the wall is deteriorating yet it is still in its original position. It is very much planned city at that time. The arrangement of old city is symmetrical. There are four Bazaars with in the walled city i.e. Multani Bazaar, Rasheed Shah Bazaar, Rail Bazaar and Chotaka Bazaar on the names of its four respctive doors (Railway Gate(open towards railwaystation), Multani Gate (open towards Multan), Rasheed Shah Gate (Having the tomb of Rasheed Shah), Chutaka Gate (As Chutaka means crossing of four roads, Four roads going on different direction from this gate). Chandni Chowk is the center of all Bazaars. Sarrafa Bazar is also located in Chotaqa Bazar which is the main Gold Market. Nadeem Shah Home is also in Sarrafa Bazar. In the ancient time all the Gates were locked at night. Only little outlet were being used for in coming and out going. "THE MEDIA CLUB SHUJABAD" was formed by Akmal Ramay, Rao Parvaiz, Mian Zawar & Nadeem Shah in 2010.
at almost the exact center of Pakistan. The area around the city is flat land, full of nature's gifts. The very hot weather of region makes it ideal for agriculture. There are many canals providing water for cultivation in the region for the growth of crops like cotton, wheat and the most delicious mangoes in the world. The average temperature , during summer, is about 44 °C (111.2 °F), and in the winter about 3 °C (37.4 °F). Dusty winds blows in the summer.Mango trees,palms/Cotton / Wheat / simplicity / near to nature life style / is very imp qulaity.

Administration
Since the introduction of the local government system in 2001 the city has been governed by a Nazim (Mayor) and Naib Nazim. There are 17 Union Council in City. Rana Sohail Ahmed Noon was the 1st & 2nd Nazim of the city and Rao Khalid Saeed was the 1st Naib Nazim and Syed Wajid Ali Shah was the 2nd Naib Nazim.After completion of Local Govt tenour.
