Plot

The protagonist of the game is Luchs, the prince to the small kingdom of Alterrain. At the age of fourteen Luchs is forced out of his kingdom and is banished to the "Land of the Sand". Five years later, Luchs returns home only to find out that Alterrain has plummeted into great debt, and now that his father has disappeared, this great debt is cast upon Luchs. Shortly after, seven princesses from a neighboring nation break out of their palace, and a huge reward is given out to anyone who can find the princesses. Hoping to get his kingdom out of dept, Luchs ventures out to find these princesses.
