Shawn Yancy is a News Anchor for WTTG-TV, FOX 5 News in Washington, DC. Yancy co-anchors FOX 5 News at 5pm & 10pm and contributes to the Newsedge @ 6 and 11pm. Yancy previously co-anchored FOX 5 Morning News from 5 to 7am. She joined the FOX 5 News team in September 2001. Her second day on the job became her first big story in Washington: The September 11th terrorist attacks.

Yancy was awarded a 2007 Regional Edward R. Murrow award  for an investigative series on The Asbestos Problems inside the National Institutes of Health
