Since 1970, Grace's work has been completely interactive; in 1977, she worked as an artist/technician at NASA
and produced the first artistic transmission via satellite
, EMITE/RECIBE, using NASA's communication satellite. She also participated in the creation of the first coast-to-coast "split screen" between artists in New York
and San Francisco. Grace has published numerous articles in the field, and has received grants and fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts
