Seaboard International is a privately held manufacturer of highly engineered oil and gas pressure control equipment providing services for worldwide onshore and offshore oil & gas exploration, drilling and production operations. Seaboard began development of wellhead and electric feed-thru connector product lines in 1974 and is headquartered in Houston, Texas.

Corporate Profile

Seaboard International is a manufacturer of highly engineered oil and gas pressure control equipment for drilling and production in onshore and offsore applications. Intended for use in standard to severe service applications, the surface wellhead equipment, and gate valves Seaboard designs and manufactures is used by major integrated, large independent, and foreign national oil and gas companies in areas throughout the world.

Principal products consist of surface wellheads, production trees, multibowl hanger systems, wellhead connectors, and electric feed-through equipment. The equipment is manufactured in a variety of sizes and to various specifications with working pressure ratings up to 20,000 psi. The company also provides installation, reconditioning services, and rental equipment in connection with the installation and retrieval of its products.

Seaboard primarily markets directly to end users through a worldwide network of sales and service facilities, agents, and representatives. Seaboard's customers include major oil and gas exploration and production companies, independents, foreign national oil and gas companies, engineering and construction firms, drilling contractors, and rental equipment companies.

Seaboard believes that it has achieved significant market share and brand name recognition with respect to its established products due to the technological capabilities, reliability, cost effectiveness, and operational timesaving features of these products.

Well known for the detailed care it takes in supporting and servicing its clients, Seaboard has built a solid reputation for developing quality products. Excellence cannot be measured only by the quality of its products, but by the caliber of the ongoing support offered to its customers. Due to the technical nature of many of the products, Seaboard maintains a fully funtional team of engineers, supported by a technical and quality assurance staff. Seaboard is proud to have received the recognition and accreditation from Quality Cwertification Bureau in passing consecutive dual audits in 1996, 1997, and 1999 for the ISO-9001 quality management system and renewal of our API 6A license.

Seaboard provides field installation services, post-sale reconditioning of equipment, and rental tools for installation and retrieval of its products. Field installation services are provided through trained technicians who assist in the onsite installation of products and are available on a 24-hour call out from the Company's facilities located throughout the United States. Seaboard's Middle East regional service center is located in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E., providing technical and field support to that area and North Africa.

The company's history began more than sixty years ago with the founding of The Shaffer Company of California. In 1974, Seaboard-ARVAL Company was established to acquire assets from Shaffer and undertake further development of the wellehad and electric feed-thru connector business from new headquarters in Houston, Texas.

Seaboard was acquired by Hunt Valve Company in 1999. Hunt Valve, established in 1919, manufactures a broad range of fluid power and fluid handling products for such diverse industries as oil and gas, nuclear, primary metals, and the U.S. Navy.

In 1999 in celebration of Seaboard's 25th Anniversary, the company adopted a new name and logo to showcase its energetic vitality and leadership. The company has also completed construction of its new corporate headquarters in Houston, Texas. Seaboard International is determined to service the international market with the same flexibility and dedication that customers have come to expect and appreciate.

In 2007 Seaboard purchase Wellhead Inc. Wellhead Inc is a progressive manufacturing company having served the oil industry, through the design and manufacture of quality completion products, for over 50 years. The Company’s product lines include API 6A Wellhead & X-mas Tree Equipment, API 16A Drill Through Equipment, API 11IW Independent Wellhead Equipment and Quick Lock Wellhead System tubing rotators, coil tubing heads, and packers. Wellhead Inc’s manufacturing facility is located in Bakersfield, California.
