Scratch DJ Academy

Scratch DJ Academy is a DJ and music production school headquartered in New York City with additional locations in Miami and Los Angeles. It was founded in 2002 by the late Jam Master Jay of Run-D.M.C.

It offers DJ and music production courses of all levels where students can learn to mix, blend, scratch, and make beats. Classes have established DJ instructors and copyrighted curriculum. In addition to classes, Scratch provides a variety of event services for corporate and private clients. They offer DJ bookings and instruction along with equipment for tours, special events and store openings. Scratch Events (a DJ booking resource) and Scratch Music Group (a music marketing and consulting group) were formed from the success of Scratch DJ Academy.
