The Little Western operated from 1859 to 1871. She was a Steam Schooner with a 2 cylinder Iron Screw built in 1858 in Renfrew by James Henderson & Sons (Yard No. 25). She displaced 115 ( 148 ) tons gross; 67 tons net and was 115ft 9ins in length; 18ft 5 ins in breadth and 9ft 4ins in depth.

On the winding up of the company the ship was transferred to the West Cornwall Steam Ship Company
