Many of Schiller's albums take over a year to receive a North American release, most likely due to the translating and re-recording of tracks from German to English along with other exclusive and previously unreleased material. European countries, however, see Schiller's releases much earlier. The European music channel Music Force Europe dedicates a weekly programming slot to Schiller's music; the show is called "Schill-out"

After the North American release of Life, Christopher Von Deylen stated that he did not wish to continue mixing English translations of the German language tracks.

The band is named after poet and dramatist Friedrich Schiller

and Mirko von Schlieffen in 1998, signaled with the release of their first single Glockenspiel. They followed up with the release of their first album, Zeitgeist (Time Spirit) in 1999. Schiller's second studio album Weltreise (Voyage) was inspired by a two-month-long road trip that Deylen took with his father from London to Peking.

Christopher and Mirko had creative differences, a conflict between the two of them regarding the direction they wanted to take Schiller led to Von Schlieffen leaving the group.

Post Split

After the split a third studio album was released called Leben, with German version being released first. Many singles were released including songs sung by Maya Saban ("I've seen it all", "I miss you"), Sarah Brightman ("Smile"), Mila Mar ("Liebe") and Peter Heppner ("I feel you"). Videos were made of the last two of these. The American version of the song "Liebe" was released as "Love" with English lyrics.

Schiller's fourth studio album is entitled Tag Und Nacht (Day And Night). It was released in Germany through Universal Music in mid-fall 2005, with two editions:
