. The district contains 26 contributing buildings, two contributing sites, and one contributing structure. They are associated with three estates, a school complex, a cemetery, and two religious properties. They include: St. Mary's Church (1850-1851), Sleepy Hollow Country Club including Woodlea (1892-1895) mansion and The Stable designed by the noted architectural firm of McKim, Mead & White, Rosemont (ca. 1840), the Scarborough Presbyterian Church Complex (1895-1913), Sparta Cemetery, Beechwood Estate, and Clear View School.
