Sayedani Maa Tomb

Sayedani Maa Tomb also known as Saidani Maa Ki Dargah or Maa Saheba Ke Dargah. The Tomb is located in the northern end of the Tank Bund, in Secunderabad
/Hyderabad, India. The Saidani Maa Ki Dargah is a tribute of a son to his mother's memory and her values in life. It was constructed in 1883 AD.
And so it came to be, courtesy of her dutiful son Nawab Abdul Haq Diler Jung, in 1883 AD. He was an officer in the court of the Nizam
Mahbub Ali Khan, Asaf Jah VI, and in the position to get the best that money could buy to honor the memory of his mother.
The onion shaped dome is so frequently found in Islamic architecture. Both the interior and exterior of the tomb are decorated with fine arches and stucco works and the top is covered by an onion-shaped dome and has been carved intricately with marble lattice work. s are beautifully carved and have marble inlay work on them. Inside the mausoleum, there is an underground chamber where only women are permitted to enter.
The most danger is the pollution which had caused the dome a big damage.

Maa Saheba was a woman from a royal family right from the time that she was 10 years old, she had stringently maintained the custom of purdah and it had become an intrinsic part of her life, to the extent that she had insisted on being emtombed much beneath the surface, and in a manner where only women could pay their respects to her.And so it came to be, courtesy of her dutiful son Nawab Abdul Haq Diler Jung, in 1883 AD.
