Sarah Roache [born 1950 died 7 February 2009] was a British
actress who appeared in Coronation Street
in 2007, playing the part of Judge Alderman. Her other credits include Emmerdale Farm, Juliet Bravo and Cracker.
She married Coronation Street actor William Roache
(who has played Ken Barlow since the show's inception in December 1960) in 1978 and they were married until her death. They had three children; however, their second child Edwina died in May 1984 at the age of 18 months.
She died unexpectedly on 7 February 2009.as it was revealed on the 9th February 2009 on GMTV. html
