Sangamner is a city and a municipal council

Sangamner is the biggest settlement on National Highway-50 (NH-50) between Pune and Nashik. The main destinations from Sangamner are Nashik (68 km) and Pune (143 km).One of the fastest growing city in the Nashik - Pune - Mumbai triangle.

Like as Kavi Anant Fandi Vyakhyanmala, Kavi Anant Fandi Sahitya Puraskar, Sangamner festival etc. Sangamner Itihas Sanshodhan Mandal, Kavi Anant Fandi Pratishthan, Rajasthan Yuvak Mandal, Geeta Parivar and some other organisation play major role in these activities.

Sangamner is located at 19.57°N 74.22°E on the banks of the Pravara River. It has an average elevation of 549 metres (1801 feet). Sports
Sangamner Taluka is sports loving. Sangamner has a very nice sport complex in the name of Sahakar Maharshi Bhausaheb Santuji Thorat. It is constructed by Sangamner Nagaraparishad and Taluka Kreeda Sankul Samiti, Sangamner. In this stadium there is a Badminton hall, a very nice Cricket ground, Handball ground, Table Tennis hall, and Sketing ground. Taluka Sports Office is situated in this sport complex working under directorate of Sports and youth Services, Pune (Government of Maharashtra). School games are organised at this stadium. In the Sangamner there are many clubs like Malpani Health club and ranjit sport club. Hinduism is the most commonly practised religion in Sanamner, although mosques, gurudwaras, Jain temples, churches, and other religious buildings are found in the city. The most prominent Hindu temple in Sangamner are Shani Dev temple in south part while Lord Ganesh Temple on Samnapur road on north part. The most famous is likely the Saibaba Temple, located near Ghats on the Pravara riverside. All the functions of all religions are celebrated with equal enthusiasm and zest.
