Samaggi’s aim is to be able to offer and impart information, and to provide any possible assistance to all Thai people around the UK especially Thai Students and their Societies.

Samaggi Events

Samaggi Samagom organises many events for the Thai community in the UK. Including Samaggi Karaoke Night, Samaggi Bowling Competition and many Seminars that were warmly welcomed throughout the year. The major events organised by Samaggi Samagom are Samaggi Games

, which was a tremendous success this year(2007), with more universities participating than ever and the crowd size reaching over 1,000. and Samaggi Night, a concert featuring Joey Boy and Buddha Bless.

Samaggi 5-a-side Football Tournaments

This year Samaggi Samagom and Thai: UK FC hosted 2 new football events.
Starting with Samaggi 5-a-side tournament at Westway. Following the success Samaggi went ahead with the next step Samaggi Asian Cup competition at Powerleague, Liverpool Street. With teams participating from China, Korea, Japan and Thailand.
The competition was an oneday Group Stage then Knockout Rounds, World Cup format.
With each team playing a minimum of 3 matches totalling at least 45 minutes of playing time.

Samaggi Games

Samaggi Games is a fun and friendly annual sports event, open to all Thai students in the UK. Samaggi Games is normally held in February or March each year. It is one of the most popular events organised by the Samaggi Samagom, the Thai Student Association in the UK. The event accommodates over 1000 Thai students from around the UK who come to play and support the game. This will be a great opportunity to meet with other Thai students as well as enjoying the sport competition and Thai food which will be on sales as part of the event.

Sports such as football, basketball, tennis, badminton, table tennis, squash, chairball and some traditional Thai games such as Thai chess are included.

Samaggi Night

From the traditional prom, evolving to concerts. Samaggi Night has continued to provide a great social opportunity for the Thai community. The concert in February 2007 was Joey Boy & Buddha Bless.
