Wallace was a presenter for the children's program Sticky TV

from 2004 until 2010. He started in 2004 with Julia Bloore, and more recently hosted with Drew Neemia, Walter Neilands and Kanoa Lloyd.

He finds working with children to be rewarding, and likes seeing them shine on Sticky TV "My philosophy is you do it, and you show the kids amazing ways they can exceed their own expectations and experiment with things they wouldn’t usually do."

Wallace is featured in the 2007 Auckland Cat Rescue calendar to help fund the work they do with unwanted cats and kittens. Called Paws for a Cause he features alongside local male celebrities, including Joel Defries, Blair Strang, Nathan Rarere and Iain Stables.

Sam also coached the Westlake Girls High School Premier Basketball team in 2003. The team featured Lisa Wallbutton, who now competes in the New Zealand Tall Ferns.

He now presents the weather on TV One's Saturday Breakfast
