Sakraida v. Ag Pro Inc., 425 U.S. 273

law. The patent application taught a method of cleaning barn floors. The Supreme Court ruled that the patent was obvious in the light of the prior art, and that a new invention had to be greater than the sum of its parts in order to pass the non-obvious standard of 35 U.S.C. 103.
This case was overruled by Stratoflex v. AeroQuip, 713 F.2d 1350 (1983).
