This Historic Municipality is a small village populated by a dozen or more traditional Quebec-style dwellings, historical sites and a few left-over colonial mansions! Now shared with a variety of, other later added type of dwellings, from duplex to apartment building, including now, many fantastic retirement retreats! Located on the north-west shore of the Island of Montreal on the Historic Gouin Blvd., overlooking the [Rivière des Prairies] across the river from [Île Bizard]. One of the best spots to witness, on a small local scale, fireworks celebration for St. John the Baptist day! It is surrounded by the former municipality of [Pierrefonds, Quebec] North-West. On January 1, 2002, it was officially part of the City of Montreal and did not choose to secede in the [Montreal Merger~demerger vote]] on June 20, 2004. So now a separate part of one small island of Mtl?
