The name was based on the rare and strange scientific phenomenon called St. Elmo's fire
, named after Erasmus of Formiae
who is often called "Saint Elmo." The phenomenon occurs in electrical weather at which high points (like masts on ships) will charge and then give off a glow.
, Japan builds a large-sized solar space power plant. The plant supports Earth with its large solar energy supply but suddenly there is an abnormality at the Saint Elmo plant. To pinpoint the problem, Earth sends several technicians to fix it.
