Results The 1900 Olympic scoring system was used., There was very little wind on the day of the race, resulting in 36 of the 43 boats not finishing and 2 more being disqualified after the course due to their use of "other means of propulsion than the sail: Buchanan, Ian. "A Review of Olympic Yachting—1900". As reproduced in Mallon, p. 228. The 5 that did finish legally averaged more than 6 hours in completing the course.
