, returned to Moroni from exile in Paris. After Atthoumani formally gave up power to them, they installed themselves as joint presidents, renaming the state as Federal and Islamic Republic of Comoros, (République Fédérale Islamique des Comores). Soon thereafter, Abdallah was named sole executive.
