History

Planning for the school started in November 1997 and it was formally established in January 1998.

In February 1998 the school formally opened. Starting with one classroom, the school expanded to 700 enrollees, with courses named Certificate in Applied Programming and the Office Productivity Application (OPA).

The school is now an Education Center which offers a two-year diploma courses.

STI - San Pedro was granted the permit to offer two-year diploma courses in 1999. The initial offering was Diploma in Computer Studies (DCS). Soon the Diploma in Information Technology (DIT), Diploma in Computer & Electronics Technology (DCET), Certificate in Information Systems and Certificate in Cyber-Programming were offered. Added years after were Diploma in Office Skills and Management (DOSM) and Diploma in Entrepreneurship (DENTREP) Meanwhile, the school continued to offer short-term courses - Microsoft Office Training Program, Powerpack Pro and PC Troubleshooting.
