Participating students on the university campus in Shorouk, Cairo apply business concepts to develop outreach projects that improve the quality of life and standard of living for people in need.

National competitions

An annual national competition provides a forum for teams in 27 Egyptian universities to present the results of their projects, and to be evaluated by business leaders serving as judges.
SIFE UFE was eligible to be sent to the SIFE World Cup (which provides a showcase of the impact achieved by the SIFE teams from more than 39 countries) as the national champion team from Egypt

The team was named first runner-up for 2011.

World Cup competitions

Emerging from the semi-final round of competition in 2009 and 2010, SIFE UFE had the chance to be named the SIFE World Cup Champion for two consecutive years (2009 and 2010).
