Ryo Nishikido was born in Hyogo on November 3, 1984 and raised in Osaka

. He made his major debut in 2004 as an actor and a singer. Nishkido belongs to two Johnny & Associates boy bands, NEWS and Kanjani Eight. In 2006, Nishikido held his first solo concert. He is also active in TV dramas, playing some major roles such as Haruto Asou in 1 Litre of Tears, Keisuke Kawai in Niini no Koto o Wasurenaide, Shota Nakahara in Attention Please, and Sosuke Oikawa in Last Friends.
