Evrovidenie 2008 was held on March 9, 2008 with a total number of 27 songs competing. The winner was chosen by a combination of Televoting, SMS voting, Internet voting and the votes of a professional jury.
The 2008 competition was the first national selection final to be used to pick Russia's entry since 2005, as Channel One
used internal selections in the years that it broadcast the contest.
Dima Bilan
