. Also in Rototuna is Rototuna Primary School, Te Totara Primary School and Hamilton Christian(secondary) School. The government has purchased land for a secondary school.This is scheduled to be built about 2012-14.There is currently a proposal to build the new secondary school using private enterprise to build and manage the school but with staff appointed under the state system.Currently students in this area are zoned for Fairfield College.As Fairfield College has the largest grounds in NZ and a roll of just over a thousand the government has indicated that the new school is not a priority.A private school has expressed some interest in building a secondary school in the area.At the moment the council has only purchased land.The school is expected to be finished by about 2013-2014.
