Roosevelt is the largest giant sequoia in Redwood Mountain Grove
, which is itself the largest grove of giant sequoias on earth. It is located in Kings Canyon National Park and Sequoia National Forest, at 36°41′38"N 118°55′08"W in California's Sierra Nevada. The tallest giant sequoia on earth (311 feet (94.8 m)) is also located in this grove, along with the Hart tree which is just smaller than the Roosevelt tree. The Hart tree is 278 feet (84.7 m) tall, with a volume of 34407 cubic feet (974.3 m³). The Roosevelt tree however has a volume of around 35000 cubic feet (991.1 m³).
The tree is the 22nd largest giant sequoia.
