after being waived by the Adelaide 36ers

Howard signed to play for the Adelaide 36ers in the NBL as a replacement for the injured Troy DeVries
in late 2010 and made his debut for the club on December 23rd in a rare loss at home against the visiting Townsville Crocodiles
. He played 11 games for the 36ers and averaged 8.8 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game before injuring his ankle in the first quarter of a game against the Melbourne Tigers at the Adelaide Arena on February 18. The injury was to put Howard on the sidelines for up to 3 weeks which prompted the 36ers to waive his contract as there were only 6 games left in the 2010-11 NBL season.
As one of the top 10 scorers in the D-League for the 2009–10 season, Howard earned himself a spot in the Milwaukee Bucks
training camp where he was one of the final players cut from squad and comes highly recommended by the Bucks Australian Center
