Ron Burke, also known as Lucky Ron is a country music performer based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada's capital.

Musical style

Burke has been performing in Ottawa bars for over 20 years in various bars, including the now-closed Upstairs Club and Downstairs Club on Rideau St. as well as Mexicali Rosa's and the Cave on Bank Street. Burke has a following in the Ottawa area, where his shows are like a country music version of the Rocky Horror Picture Show, in which call and response and audience participation are part of the show.

His set has been filled with the same songs, the same jokes and the same crowd interventions week after week... For example, after he plays the third song of his set, Burke will wait until the audience calls for "Number Four!", which is Johnny Horton

When the Downstairs Club closed, Lucky Ron briefly took over the space and dubbed it "Lucky Ron's". He currently plays Saturday afternoons at The Chateau Lafayette (known as The Laff) in Ottawa's historic Market area.

Burke has also performed in Ottawa-area groups such as Lucky Ron and the Rhode Island Reds and The Black Donnellys. Burke ran for mayor in the Ottawa municipal election of 2003
