  • Page 201 correction: Actor Louis (Bob) Faust separated from his wife Amelia with comprehensive care for his children; he found suitable homes for each of his six living children before separating; one child had died at birth, the fourth. His wife was not pregnant at the time; he returned after eight years and joined his wife Amelia to conceive their eighth child JoAnn Faust who died at age 33.

  • Pages 189, 190, and 203 correction: The sequence and heights need correction. There was a morning preliminaries for the high jump event. Jumpers who cleared the morning's preliminary qualifying height were admitted to the afternnoon Finals. Joe Faust did clear the qualifying height of 6' 6" in the morning session on his first try; in doing so, he moved to the afternoon Finals where he cleared the opening bar of 6' 4". The spasms from the nerve injury were extreme; at the next bar, he took the three permitted tries to complete the competition in the finals. He did not just step away; he completed all possible jumps.
