Roman Zambrowski was a Polish
communist activist. He is a father of journalist Antoni Zambrowski.
Zambrowski, born into a Jewish family, was a member of the Communist Party of Poland
(1928–1938), member of the Communist Association of Polish Youth Central Committee (1930–1938), one of the main organiser of the Union of Polish Patriots
(1943) and the Polish Communists Central Bureau (1944), chief of the Politics and Educational Management of Polish Army in the Soviet Union
and then in the Polish First Army
(since 1944). From 1944 he was a member of the Polish Workers' Party
