Rohini series is a series of sounding rockets developed by ISRO for meteorological and atmospheric study purposes. The rockets in this series are named RH an abbreviation of rohini, followed by a numeral indicating its diameter. India currently operates four versions of the Rohini sounding rocket: the RH-200, the RH-300, the RH-300 Mk II and the RH-560 Mk II .RH200 and RH560 are two stage rockets while RH300 is a single stage rocket. Three of them use solid propellants. RH560 Mk II can carry a payload of 100 Kg to an altitude of about 400 Km.
