Roger aspired to become a country music singer since he was six years old. He started learning how to play piano in the second grade, but didn't learn guitar until he was a student at Tuloso-Midway High School

Roger Creager Band

The following is a list of the members of the Roger Creager Band along with the instruments they play.
  • Allen Huff - piano, Organ, accordion, washboard, and Vocals
  • Matt Medearis - drums
  • Rick Redfern - fiddle, Strat, and Vocals
  • Stormy Cooper - bass guitar
  • Josh Owen - lead guitar and Vocals. Josh Owen stopped playing with the band in June 2011. According to the website www.rogercreager.com there is no one listed as lead guitar, but they are touring with another guitar player. Fiddle player, Rick Redfern, is singing all of the vocal parts that were previously sung by Owen.
  • Aleph Yonker - lead guitar and Vocals (updated 9/27/2011)


Roger's dad, Bill Creager, occasionally joins his son onstage providing vocals on songs such as "Rancho Grande." His younger brother, Randy, has also joined Roger on stage and has become a fan-favorite with songs such as "Please Come to Boston".

Arrest

Creager, along with two other band members at the time, were arrested in San Marcos, Texas at 2:02am on Friday, January 18, 2008. According to police reports, the band was throwing a party at a local hotel which police were called to due to a noise complaint. When police arrived, they found a large group of people and several girls under the age of 21 who admitted to drinking at the party. Upon receiving permission to search the room, the police found a 19 year old girl in the bathroom who admitted to drinking at the party. Creager was charged with furnishing alcohol to minors and released on $3,000 bail the same night. All charges were dropped.
