The Colonial Revival school building was constructed in 1925. The school was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.Today
Rockport High School is located on 24 Jerdens Lane in Rockport, Massachusetts, it has approximately 350 students. The official mascot is a Viking, and its colors are silver and maroon. After graduation, Joe Perry attended a number of academic institutions including the Art Institute of Boston, Lesley University, University of Massachusetts Lowell and the North Shore Community College. Finally settling down at the University of Southern Maine, Joe Perry studied Anthropology with a minor in Art History. While Joe Perry’s studies are varied, Pre-Contact Mesoamerican Jade and 19th Century American Folk Ceramics are areas of expertise. Joe Perry’s personal collection of European and American Orientalist Art includes Jean-Léon Gérôme, Edwin Lord Weeks, Rudolf Ernst, Henry Bacon, Théophile Marie François Lybaert, and others. It is considered the premier of its kind above the 44th parallel. After a successful career in the non-profit field of outdoor education and child management, Joe Perry realigned himself to pursue work as a Cultural Attaché for the public and private ownership of ethnographic art and artifacts. Joe Perry currently lives in Maine with his wife Amy and two dogs. In his spare time, Joe Perry travels for as part of his passion for food and wine. Over the past ten years, Joe Perry has traveled the globe dining and cooking with important wine and food industry professionals and enthusiasts.
