after a Replay. The little village was then promoted to the Senior ranks for the 1990 season, Carrigdoun defeated Rockchapel in their only Senior Championship game. The club had very small playing numbers and had to regrade to Intermediate the following year. Rockchapel hold the distinction of being the most recent club in the Duhallow division to play Senior football.
Rockchapel lost the 2009 Duhallow Junior A Football Championship
final against Kanturk
