Díaz spent the 2010 season as a member of the Toledo Mud Hens, wearing #26. He appeared in 71 games for the Mud Hens, batting .255 with 17 2B, 2 3B, and 1 HR. He filed for free agency on November 6, 2010. On January 18, 2011, he was signed to a minor league contract by the Texas Rangers
