Soon after, Roberto started hosting the Saturday night game show Sábado en Grande, once again alongside brother Luisito, where Roberto lasted for a few years as co-host. In the late 1980's he played baseball player "Joe Hardy" in the San Juan revival of the Broadway musical "Damn Yankees", opposite Marian Pabón as "Lola" and Iván Rodríguez as "Mr. Applegate".

In 1993, Vigoreaux retired from show business
