Cesternino first achieved fame when he appeared in Survivor: The Amazon, in 2003. Originally a member of the all-male Tambaqui tribe, Rob quickly implemented an aggressive and innovative style of strategic gameplay. Often seen as the pioneer of the alliance-switch, Cesternino cut a number of deals throughout the game, which often ended with him double-crossing his allies. His web of lies and unique sense of humour quickly made him one of the most polarizing castaways in Survivor history, and Cesternino eventually made it to the final three where he was then voted out.
