Alma mater

Just across the flowing river,
Stands Roane County High School;
She's our Alma Mater ever,
As the years go by.

She's a fair one; she's a true one,
She's our do or die
Hail to Thee, Our Alma Mater,
Dear Roane County High.

Cherished by her sons and daughters,
Memories sweet shall throng.
Here's to you our Alma Mater,
As we sing this song.

Onward ever be our watchword,
Conquer and prevail.
Hail to thee, Our Alma Mater,
Roane County High, all hail.

Athletics

The Kingston Yellow Jackets' football team hosts games at Dr. Nat Sugarman Memorial field where they have been under the coaching guidance of Coach Vic King for the last twenty-five years. Perhaps the most successful sport at the school in recent years has been the golf team. The Kingston golf team won the TSSAA Class A-AA State Championship back-to-back years in 1999 and 2000. In 2009, the team was ranked number one in the State of Tennessee in the TSSAA Class A-AA. After a compelling District Championship, the team lost to the Christian Academy of Knoxville in the Regional Championship. The team finished with a heartbreaking 38-1 record. CAK went on to sweep the State Championship.
