 and opened to the public on 5 October 2007. It cost £8 million to complete and is the first publicly funded build of its kind since The Hayward Gallery opened more than 40 years ago.
On its five floors with altogether 15000 square feet (1,393.5 m²), Rivington Place houses exhibition spaces, the offices of Iniva and Autograph ABP and also the Stuart Hall Library, a reference library for research into diversity and the visual arts. It also has a cafe. It is a free public gallery.
