In the Single Statewide Accountability System awards, River Trail received a Gold Status in the Highest Performance Category. This award recognizes and celebrates the hard work of students, faculty and support staff during the CRCT testing in which 98% or more kids meet and exceed standards. The school teaches children from grades 6 to 8.

River Trail is known for its music programs. Its Chamber Orchestra was invited to the Governor's mansion for the 2008-2009 school year. River Trail's Symphonic Band was invited to GMEA during year 2009-2010. In April 5~8, 2012, the Chamber Orcestra will be invited to play at Carnegie Hall.
