The "soap mill" is known as The Original Bradford Soap Works. The other two mills were known variously as the Valley Queen Mill which was sometimes called the Royal Mill and the other was known as Ace Dying and Finishing. The Valley Queen mill was a complete textile mill with combing, spinning and weaving operations while the Ace mill was established to finish the goods.

The name Riverpoint is derived by virtue of the fact that the North and South branches of the Pawtuxet River
