Information

The teams to finish first and second in Riksserien are automatically qualified for the semi finals while teams 3-6 are qualified for the quarter finals. In the quarter finals, team 3 gets to pick the opponent between the teams 5 and 6 while team 4 meets the team that was left. The quarter finals are played in best of three and the highest ranked team starts away and finishes with a home game.
In the semi finals the first ranked team chooses a opponent from the two winners of the quarter finals while the second ranked team plays the other winner of the quarter finals. Only one game is played in the semi finals.
The two teams that loose the semi finals play for the bronze while the semi final winners go to the one-game-final where a Swedish Champion is decided.

When a game is tied after 60 minutes, sudden death is played for maximum 10 minutes, in the playoffs for maximum 20 minutes.
Sudden death is played with one goalie and four players on the ice for each team.
If the game is still tied after overtime, the winner is decided by penalty shots. Three for each team to begin with and if still tied after three penaltie shots each, then the game is decided in penalty shot sudden death.
