Ridgeford Properties’ most recent developments include phase one of 50 Bolsover Street, which houses the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Trust’s out patients department, as well as 70 luxury apartments and 33 affordable homes.

Developments

Ridgeford Properties is developing phase two of the 50 Bolsover Street property, known as the Fitzrovia Apartments, in partnership with the Manhattan Loft Company. The development is in its second phase and will be completed in 2012. In September 2010, Ridgeford Properties' Managing Director, Chris Murray, announced that the company had secured £33m to develop the second phase of the Bolsover scheme. The £33m is one of the first speculative loans to a property developer made in the last 18 months.

The phasing will enable the existing Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital on Bolsover Street to remain operational on site whilst the new medical facility is being built on the southern half of the site, which has been vacated by the Royal London Homeopathic Hospital, which has moved to new premises at 60 Great Ormond Street.

In 2007, Ridgeford Properties partnered with Genesis Housing Group to develop at £18m scheme in Vauxhall. The new development has been designed by HOK International for Genesis, which is a registered social landlord.

Also in 2007, Ridgeford secured consent from Westminster council for a redevelopment of its Weymouth Street offices into 12 flats, totalling 22,000 sq ft (2,044 sq m), designed by Ken Shuttleworth’s Make Architects.

In 2008, Ridgeford Properties’ Ironmonger Row development successfully secured an office letting to leading fashion footwear and accessories designer Christian Louboutin. Christian Louboutin took 5,382 sq ft (500 sq m) of ground and lower ground floor self-contained office space for an initial term of three years, with an option for a further five years, paying an initial rent of £17 per sq ft (£183 per sq m). The French-based designer uses the Clerkenwell offices as its UK Headquarters operating a private showroom and workshop from the premises, as it further expands operations within the UK.

Partners

Ridgeford Properties is working with the Manhattan Loft Company on the Bolsover Street development. According to City AM, a London newspaper, The Manhattan Loft Company has been responsible for several high profile projects, including the residential development at London’s St. Pancras Station.
