Ricky Gillies

Ricky Gillies is a Scottish professional footballer. Before joining St.Mirren FC, he played his trade with Barrhead Boys Club, up until the age of 15. He is most notable for his career with St. Mirren.

An attacking midfielder, Gillies was regarded as one of the most promising youngsters in Scotland when he came into the first team at St Mirren. He attracted considerable interest from other clubs in both Scotland and England during his first spell at the club before a move to Aberdeen

He was awarded a testimonial in 2002, and left for Partick Thistle in 2005. He spent a year as player-coach in New Zealand with Bobby Gould

He is currently Managing Director of Soccer Innovation, which helps players to merge their studies and football with a Soccer Scholarship in the USA. The company also runs soccer camps throughout the year.
